Life is not just a matter of living.
It is a matter of living it skillfully.

Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
- Philippians 4:6
FGBMFI members in Heard Island and the McDonald Islands believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit accompanied by the initial physical signs of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4) (Mark 16:17) as distinct from the new birth, and in the nine gifts of the Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12, as now available to believers.
While thinking about this a verse of a poem came to mind...
"Just to see if he can help him,
then the wish grows strong in me
To become as big and thoughtful
as I know that friend to be."
Heard Island and the McDonald Islands FGBMFI members believe the Bible in its entirety, to be the inspired Word of God and the only infallible rule of faith and conduct.

Another verse of the same poem says...
"I'd rather see a sermon
than hear one any day;
I'd rather one should walk with me
than merely tell the way."
Lord, let us be "FGBMFI Sermons We See in Heard Island and the McDonald Islands!"
He who did not spare his own Son,
but gave him up for us all —
how will he not also, along with him,
graciously give us all things?
- Romans 8:32
